Gong Hay Fat Choi! Alright, I know it’s already been a month and a half since Chinese New Year so this post is particularly late. But it takes time to edit all my crappy footage and whittle it down to a comprehensible video that shows the whole (or at least wholish) process of preparing a certain dish. And in this case, the footage was crappier than usual, because I was all ADD (or ADHD if you prefer) trying to follow the prep of four different dishes while also chowing down and hanging out with Bay Area friends I see maybe a few times a year. Alright, enough whining. I just want to give props to Cheryl, Cam, Maia and Dylan for hosting another kick ass (that’s Chinese for awesome) Chinese New Year party in their newly renovated house and amazing kitchen. Also, thanks are in order to Cheryl, Matt, Chiara and Dave for being patient enough to cook and let me put my annoying camera in their face. Alright so check out some of the delicious stuff we cooked that night via these fried chicken wings:

Jing Fong Jig
Why am I smiling? Because I’m doing the Jing Fong jig! Duh! Ok, so about month ago, I had dim sum at this NYC Chinatown establishment and well… Check out the full review.
B’s balls… meatballs, that is.
My friend Bret gets back to his Italian roots and demonstrates this age old technique of meatball creation for all of you to enjoy.
Philly Cheesesteaks. In Philly!
So as I understand it Philadelphia ranks as one of the fattest cities in the U.S. and now ranks as one of the ugliest as well. Ouch. Gee, I wonder if the famed Philly cheesesteak has anything to do with that.
If so, I just got a little bit uglier and fatter the other day because I had my first consumption experience of an authentic Philly cheesesteak at the above pictured historic establishment, Pat’s. Check out the full review.
C Makes Hummus!
Ok, for my first recipe video I thought I would go with something really basic. That way I thought it would be easier to shoot, edit and hopefully to follow if you’re watching. I guess proof is in the pudding huh? Or in this case the hummus. Alright that being said, click on the photo and watch how I transform this can of garbanzo beans into a sumptuous and complex hummus. (Alright it’s pretty basic but maybe, just maybe you’ll learn something – or at least find it amusing.)
