C’s Beef Stew!

Fall has fallen and that means one thing: the stinky poo smell of gingko fruit as they fall on the sidewalks and get all caught up in the treads of your shoes. On the bright side, you can come home and fill your stomach with rich beef stew. But first of all you have to cook it and I’m happy to show you how.  Click on the photo below for my personal recipe. Believe me, it smells a whole lot better than gingko fruit.

So beefy, so good.

  1. Clarence,

what’s up. nice looking stew. and the pig hacking video was cool too. good to see where the food comes from. i was thinking about your video as I waited for lunch meat at the grocery store the other day. would be interesting to see where and how that is prepared.

what size is your dutch oven? i’m going to get one and have been debating what size to get.

also, tell shef that i was inspired by her eggplant dish. i made indian food the other day (i had this gigantic cauliflower) and was browsing old school posts. i’m planning to make that eggplant dish some time.

    hope all’s well.

  2. Hey Vincent,

Glad you liked the vids. I have a 5 1/2 quart Le Creuset cast iron enamel dutch oven we got as a wedding present. I also have a 5 quart Lodge cast iron dutch oven which is awesome for baking bread and that I can use in the bbq. At $30 it’s way cheaper than the Le Creuset, but I love both of them. Good luck finding the right one.
